Ying Teng graduated from the University of Malaya with a Bachelor-of-Laws Honors degree in June 2019. She joined Josephine, LK Chow & Co. in November 2019 as a pupil-in-chambers and was subsequently retained as an Associate of the firm when she was called to the Malaysian Bar in December 2020. She practiced under commercial, corporate and conveyancing department and intellectual property department.
In January 2022, Ying Teng joined Chambers of Jason Chew, working closely with Mr Jason Chew in the area of corporate & conveyancing, probate & administration of estates, small estate distribution and joint petition divorce.
Ying Teng is well-versed in preparing and reviewing agreements and documents in relation to property transactions, dealing with land registries and relevant authorities, and handling various aspects of property transactions such as sale and purchase property, transfer of property, perfection of transfer and charge, discharge of charge, deed of receipt and reassignment, extension of leasehold period and etc.
Ying Teng maintains open and transparent lines of communication, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns promptly to the clients. Ying Teng takes the time to explain legal concepts and processes in a clear and accessible manner, ensuring that her clients are well-informed and empowered to make informed decisions throughout the legal process.
